Module 5: Preventing corruption in project procurement
Enforcement
- The procuring organisation, all bidders, and each party to a project contract should take appropriate enforcement action in the event that any corruption is established.
- Enforcement by the relevant organisation may include, for example:
- disqualification of a bidder from the bid process, or withdrawal from the bid process, and/or a claim for damages against the defaulting party (if a contract has not been awarded)
- termination of a contract and/or a claim for damages against the defaulting party (if a contract has been awarded)
- dismissal of personnel from employment
- reporting to the investigating authorities.
