Quantity/quality: Review equipment records

Obtain the RA’s, project engineer’s, BuildWell’s and relevant sub-contractor’s records which show the amount of equipment on site relevant to the materials in question (e.g. bulldozers, graders, trucks).

Are the number and type of equipment on site consistent with the amount and type of materials alleged to have been moved, laid and compacted:

  • calculate the average output and capacity of the equipment on site on a daily or weekly basis
  • calculate the amount of material alleged to have been moved, laid and compacted on that day or week
  • was there sufficient equipment on site on that day or week to have been physically able to move, lay and compact the relevant material to the extent alleged.
