Quantity/quality: Inspect site

Visit the site, and undertake the following actions:

• Measure the width of the road at a reasonable number of sample points.  Does the measured width match the contract width?
• Are there any points (i.e. from the drains at the side of the road) where it is possible to measure the thickness of the road, or of some of the road layers?  Does the measured thickness match the contract thickness?
• Are there any visible defects in the road (i.e. cracking or subsidence) which could suggest that the road was not built using the correct quantities and quality?
• Are there any stockpiles of material on site from which samples can be taken and tested?
• Are there any other visible signs of breach of contract by the contractor?
