Module 6: Preventing corruption in project construction
Transparency
In the case of a public sector project, the project owner should establish a public website on which it promptly discloses information relating to the project, including:
major sub-contractors, suppliers, consultants and agents
beneficial ownership of project participants
variations to the contract and rate adjustments
construction progress, extensions of time and delay damages
claims, defects, court proceedings
payments
audit and independent monitor reports.
The more information that is publicly available, the greater the opportunity for personnel, business associates, or members of the public to report suspicious circumstances.
