Module 7: Investigating corruption in project procurement
This module examines, in relation to a hypothetical corruption investigation, the records which should be reviewed, the personnel who should be interviewed, the expert support which should be sought, and the type of suspicious indicators which should be considered.
This module does not cover every possible line of enquiry. Every case is different. This module is designed to give examples of the types of enquiry which should be made. Initial enquiries may uncover further evidence which needs further follow up.
This module does not examine what investigative powers can be used to obtain access to records and personnel. These powers will vary between countries.
The topics in the following pages do not necessarily have to be examined in the sequence shown on these pages.
