Quantity/quality: Review claims for payment

Obtain BuildWell’s applications to the RA for payment.  Compare these with the price and entitlement to payment under the contract.

If a project engineer has been appointed to certify payments, obtain the engineer’s payment certificates, and examine any differences between these certificates and BuildWell’s payment applications. 

Do the payment applications or certificates reveal any matters which are inconsistent with other quantity and quality records examined, or the test results?  E.g.

• that BuildWell is claiming payment from the RA for, or the engineer has approved, a quantity or quality different to that supported by other records
• that BuildWell is claiming payment from the RA, or the engineer has given approval, otherwise than in accordance with the contract requirements.
