Project participants

This section examines the usual types of project participant which are involved in an infrastructure project in some contractual capacity.  These are:

• project owner
• contractor
• funder / guarantor / insurer
• consultant
• sub-contractor
• supplier.

These participants may be individuals or organisations.  On larger projects, they are more likely to be organisations.

There may be more than one of each type of participant.  For example, the contractor may appoint more than one sub-contractor or supplier.
