Controls over construction personnel

  • Instil an ongoing culture of integrity in the construction management department.
  • Appoint appropriately senior, qualified, and experienced management who will have oversight over the construction of the project.
  • Vet construction management personnel to ensure that they have integrity and a commitment to complying with the anti-corruption controls.
  • Require construction management personnel to declare any potential or actual conflicts of interest in a register.  Make failure to do so a disciplinary offence.
  • Prevent construction management personnel with a conflict of interest from participating in any conflicted transaction.  Make participating in a conflicted transaction a disciplinary offence.
