Dilemma 11:  Entertainment - Dilemma

You are the procurement director of a construction company.  Your company has a number of sub-contractors on its approved tender list.  One of these sub-contractors offers you and your team of three managers tickets to an international football match.  The tickets are £100 each.  The sub-contractor is not currently bidding for any work from your company, but it has previously worked with your company and it is likely that it will be putting in bids for work in the future.  There is no gifts policy in your company which specifies what you should do in this situation.  You would love to go to the match, and could not go otherwise, as the tickets are sold out.  You do not see any big problem with accepting the invitation, as you do not believe that it will influence you to award any future contract to the sub-contractor.  On the other hand, you are concerned what it would look like to the other sub-contractors and to your staff.

What do you do?
